The launch party was quite an event. Plenty of people showed and new friends were made. More importantly “Polished Penny” is up and running. Here’s a little background on the label and how it came to be. For some time now I’ve wanted to put out a product that was a reflection of my self the clothes I wear, would like to wear and appreciate. However to create an idea and execute it on your own is not the easiest thing to do, To say the least. Fast forward to earlier this year I meet my business partner Mr. Ian C. Irlanda (a polished gentleman in every right) and we begin the blue print for “Polished Penny”. We wanted to create a brand that encompasses the Classic gentleman with runway influence and New york Roots cause that’s who makes us and so we did. Without further ado we give you “Polished Penny“. Thank you to all our Family and friends who came out to celebrate the evening.

I haven’t posted in some time and I apologize, but there is a good reason. I’ve been working on a new project that is set to launch this Friday. Ive been working with a team of gentlemen and together we have created a Brand called “Polish Penny”. Classic American wear with Runway influence for Every man. So whats new with shades? There have been some trends coming back to life like the John Lennon rounded sunglasses. Wayfarers and Aviators are still doing well and the Blue Blocker style is still pushing along also. Lets move away from round silhouette’s and step into something more square. I’ve been catching an eye full of attractive square sunglasses this summer on folks and from labels. I know sunglasses can be an accessory some can do without especially if you tend to lose them, but If your the kind of person who cant hold onto a pair of sunglasses for a long time you might want to look into investing in a lower price point label. Knockaround sunglasses and forever 21 offer some nice selections at extremely reasonable prices. Try out some more square frames if you wanna step away from same old. Cheers.

Its time to 86 your cargo shorts or board shorts and get into a pair of trouser shorts. Jeans have tightened up and guess what, shorts have gotten shorter. The truth is they’re more comfortable and better to move around in. You might even be able to convert some of your old khakis into a nice pair, But that’s another post soon to come. Some people say a T-shirt is just a T-shirt as if it’s nothing to pay attention to or maybe they’re all the same. Not true! The selection of T-shirts today is endless. There are different cuts some that are produced longer and others shorter. V-neck, Crew neck, raglan, Scoop neck and Henley. At the end of it all, there’s something for everyone. Personally, I don’t have many graphic T-shirts, but I do like tour shirts and tour style T-shirts. This summer I see some nautical stripes on the radar as well as more heather fabrics. No rules apply when wearing your T-shirt EXCEPT, Never wear a T-shirt tucked in and it shouldn’t look like its painted on either. Try and keep the hem of the shirt (the end) at your waist or just below. Your top shouldn’t look like a sleeping gown. Below are some sharp selections. Cheers…
