Flannel Plaid

0 Comments 11 September 2009

We’re back on the Scene with our pics on the garment of topic, the Flannel Plaid. Jay-Z seems to be enjoying himself and why not, the timepiece is right on, as well as the layering. Mr. Carter has an under Tee along with a Henley, all topped with a nice checkered flannel. Couldn’t have given better direction ourselves. Ryan Gosling ties it together well. He’s wearing a nice pair of worn dungarees which has a blue that looks real nice combined with the red plaid. Very classic Americana.
Ahh! The Lumberjack plaid or also known as the Buffalo plaid worn by Usher is an oldie but goodie. It’s true to say things come around full circle and the traditional red and black worn by Usher is exactly that. If you haven’t already seen this plaid with white and black or any other color mixed with black, you will. Zac Efron and Drake both with some nice tops.

Ed Westwick layers it nicely with a vintage quilted bomber. More importantly, the length on all these button fronts and their undershirts are where they should be. Choose a Flannel that is, at longest, just below waist length and never ever let your under shirt go past your top.

Our Giant Pick of the week is Mr. David Beckham. Great over sized plaid paired with a good worn denim, all sized right.

Our Don’t do Pick of the week goes to Jared Leto. Things you should keep note of not to do:

1. Your undershirt should never pass your top especially if its hugging your hips, Big No No!

2. Button fronts don’t mix well with track pants.

3. Graphics + Plaid + Stripes = Overkill. Theres way to many things going on at once here. Choose one and stick with it.
